Last of the summer lilies

We are beginning to hunker down for the long winter ahead and this water lily is the last one to open.

From now on its rain, and gale force winds.  We are going to the Wigtown Book Festival tomorrow for a few days and I have just heard the weather forecast: winds of 40mph.
