Distortions or just reflections

I wanted to use the fish eye setting for wide angle Wednesday.  I wanted to see how the tree looked in the puddle!  The camera also decides on the settings which is useful when you've had drops to dilate the pupil!! Verdict of the optician is that what happened yesterday was probably nothing to do with the eye but, (isn't there always a but!) I need further tests at the hospital to see what a slight black mark at the back of one eye might be!!
