Wonderful Evening...

We had a busy day at work and came home to our company (my brother and my surrogate mom) setting the table for a large roast beef, yorkshire pudding and mashed potato dinner. It was amazing! We invited our neighbours over to join us and made it a party! The desserts were unbelievable, having been hand chosen at a local Italian bakery. It was a mild evening so we enjoyed some patio time surrounded by candlelight hurricane lamps. It really was a very lovely night. (PS we recently housesat for our neighbours and they brought us a few gifts, one of which was a jar of balsamic vinegar beads - so cool! They look like caviar and can be tossed in salads, added to a baking salmon or on canapes; a product from the province of Quebec).
