1. What is going on in this photo?
This is my brother's back to school night at Salem Elementary School.  In this photo a teacher is speaking to one of her students and his father about what they are learning and how the student is doing so far.  
2. How is it related to a specific psychology concept from the current unit?
This picture demonstrates many of the concepts that we have learned in Unit 1 and 2.  First of all it demonstrates nature vs nurture.  In this picture it shows how a teacher influences a child's life at school and how the teacher can influence the student's behavior and ways of thinking.  This demonstrates the nurture side of things in that a teacher can teach students things and reward and punish their behavior.  Both of these things influence children in the way they think and behave.  It also demonstrates educational psychology because when the teacher speaks to the father, who probably knows his child best, she can learn how the student learns which is a major example of something an educational psychologist would want to study.  By learning how the child learns, the teacher can also learn the best ways to teach that student, and the best ways to test them.  Which is exactly what educational psychologists study.
3. Link the image to one of the perspectives of psychology with an explanation of how it relates.
I think this most closely resembles sociocultural psychology because the teacher is influencing the children's thoughts and behaviors through our culture's method of teaching and is teaching things from our culture's point of view.
