Aptucxet Trading Post

Located next to the Cape Cod Canal, this reconstruction of the Pilgrim Dutch trading post was built in 1927 on the foundations of the original structure. Originally built in 1627, its purpose was to trade with the Dutch settlers in New Amsterdam. They also produced salt from seawater in covered wooden salt pans.
