Bird class!

Autumn term began today - and what a good start to the term it was! We went somewhere that we'd hoped to see bearded tits, but it was very windy so apart from a few brief glimpses we didn't get any decent sightings. Almost immediately we left the car park a bittern flew across our path and we watched it for quite some time.

Then from the first hide we had the best view of water rails (two - possibly three) that I've ever had!
