At Birling Gap
Stopped at Birling Gap on the way home. Extremely wild and windy, so much so that when I opened the car boot, our jackets flew out.
Like Kipling, I love my adopted county. Not possessing his talent, I call on him to express my difficulty choosing which bit of Sussex is my favourite.
I'm just in love with all these three,
The Weald and the Marsh and the Down countree,
Nor I don't know which I love the most,
The Weald or the Marsh or the white Chalk coast.
