John Knox - site of old manse
(Thank you - whoever it was - for the 5*s yesterday!)
This was a surprise. I have always known about John Knox's house down the High Street, but this i found while going down Mary King's Close steps to Cockburn St.
Because it is on a steep slope and apparently on top of the old city which is buried underneath - my mind boggled a bit.
anyway. apparently you learn something new each day. see John Knox
i have put this into the See Us group, but actually am not quite sure if historical things fit in or not.. anyone know?
just noticed a year ago today i was in another ecclesiastic place, my favorite cathedral, Salsibury - here
not particularly religious; it is the amazing feat of building it and the highest spire so long ago, i think, that grabs me
