Another white sand beach
We had heard rumours of a secluded beach in the vicinity so with bucket, spades and nets packed we set off in search. After a long rough walk along a rocky hillside through bracken and across streams we happened upon this beautiful sandy promontory. So beautiful infact we stayed all day. We managed to catch some sand eels, fish and crabs. Another seal watched us from the water.
In the afternoon I discovered a canoe hidden in the bracken so we 'borrowed' it for a short play using a spade as a paddle.
The machair above the sand was thick with wildflowers and the buzz of honey bees was a constant hum in the distance.
