New treads.....
Another " not a combine day". 2 on hauling straw home,I dodged between drying grain ,emptying a 24 ton load of cattle feed ( and no burst bags, not bad for an amateur !) and various other jobs.
Went down the road to check and feed cattle tonight to find another one had calved, but the calf was empty and busy sucking away at her knee,so not much milk there. Came home for the trailer, got wee brother to help and back down the road to bring them home. Then more time spent milking cow and feeding calf from a bottle. At least it had the brains to suck that. Sometimes wonder why we don't all eat grass, would save a lot of work !
So by tonight, feeling tyred (Had to get 2 new tyres on the McCormick 130 the other day. Prices quoted ranged from £340 to £540 each for different makes,,no need to guess which ones I went for.
