A Local Delicacy?
Only joking, of course.
It's true that there is a sweet made here, a little swirl of minty, treacly toffee, very sticky. Melton Mowbray has pork pies, Loch Fyne has kippers, and we have our Jethart snails.
But these are our garden (definitely not edible) variety, discovered clinging to a concrete lintel this morning. TM turned it over and there they were. And they obligingly remained while I snapped them. The little one did get a bit restless and decided to head off, but the others clung on and we turned the slab over and left them to it.
