Mono Monday 140 - Culture

This is a depiction of a great British cultural tradition, our love of ceremonial events.  This is The Trooping of the Colour recreated along my ironing board using some of my father's model soldiers that I have inherited.  If he was here now he would be most annoyed that I have used the wrong regiment and put them in the wrong order.  Sorry Dad, but I was more concerned about fitting them into the shot, than worrying about historical accuracy. The Queen led the parade on horseback until 1987, when she began to ride in  a ceremonial coach.
