Elie Ness Lighthouse, Fife

Am I the only one to have been affected by a Blipfoto shutdown on Sunday evening?

As usual, life didn't go according to plan and our proposed visit to Falkland Palace and the Sealed Knot re-enactment there failed because we couldn't find a parking space anywhere in Falkland, in spite of driving around for 15 minutes!

Instead, we drove towards the Fife coast and stopped at Elie and had a lovely (if windy) walk around the harbour, admiring the view of the Bass Rock, watching the kite surfers do their stuff and keeping an eye on the stormy rain clouds in the distance.  The rain missed us completely, although we had a beautiful rainbow over the yachts (see extra) and the men chose to walk out to Ruby Bay just beyond the lighthouse, while the women stayed warm and cosy in the car:-)  

An enjoyable day, even if it wasn't what I had in mind!
