the winner

There has been a four day 'fell festival' based in Ambleside but we've been away for 3 of them. Events included guided walks, wild swims, a triathlon, talks, films,  .............. and this afternoon, a duck race. 

Here, three volunteers are trying to catch the winner of the first heat and stop all the other ducks floating downstream into Windermere.
