Sunset Sunday Night

Somber sad day.  Augie went to the happy hunting grounds this afternoon. It had to be he was a month over 16 and had a very good life, always loved, running in Oregon, walking everyday all over the neighborhood to meet his friends, hunting in eastern Washington and Montana, attending Em and Rich's Wedding in Santa Clara just last year and really enjoying the motels on the trip and the new people he met.  He was a very big part of our family.  A kind, intelligent, beautiful and very funny dog.  He made us laugh so much, gave us all comfort and love.  Life will not be the same but he is in a place with no more struggle and pain as he had the last few months.  We were truly lucky to have known him.
