A Patchwork of Time
Not all starlight is the same age, some of it is millions or even billions of years apart even though it hits your eye at the same time. So the night sky isn’t a single moment in the universe but rather a patchwork of time billions of years in breadth. (quoted from a meme found on Pinterest via themetapicure.com)
I just can’t wrap my head around the truth of this quote. But it inspired me to slip out into the moonless night and try to catch a sliver of the Milky Way
