Making Hay(lage) while the Sun shines

After several months of rain and wondering if it was ever going to be dry long enough to get the Winter feed for the horses cut and bailed......it was finally managed over the past two days. The grass was cut yesterday and bailed today.
We got 27 bales from the 4 acres we use for feed - more than enough to keep our horses going over the Winter months. I'm both happy and relieved.

My heart goes out to the farmers though.....it's been an absolutely awful year for them weather wise.
