Out and in

I didn't realise how exhausted I was. That deep, body heavy exhaustion. I didn't wake till 10 to 9. And no rush to get up!

One up off to the market. I swithered with buying food to cook tonight but decided not. I somewhat regretted that decision later. I snacked on the samples at the market and bought some olives. Then to the main street first visited in 2005. Today I was in agony and frequent sit downs were required. Is the sciatic nerve on the right hand side exacerbated by the back pack. But stoically I went on.

Visited the Cathedral, pretty much a waste of 5€ but the gardens, full of fountains and hibiscus, and seats, were delightful and the threatening clouds passed over. Opposite was a handcraft shop, much more my thing. Spent money, on things for me! That required an emergency trip to an ATM and a long tapas lunch. I had another stop in the Cathedral gardens, thinking, and ended my main day at the Picasso museum. I do art galleries really quickly.

Finally a side trip, a trip round the bay. A different view of the town, and an opportunity for loads of selfies!

Back at the apartment I sat in the heat with the windows open and watched the sun go down, with a glass of course. Downstairs for dinner, a disappointing and expensive steak but an ice cream on the way back and then an unexpected rock concert in the art area beside the Pompidou. 'Rock around the clock' got the crowd up and dancing. And it was still so warm.

The blip is the 'emigrant' and 'immigrant' art work on the shore. Seems apt for these times.
