Fall Feathers of the Goldfinch

I kept looking at the birds that have recently flocked to my feeder and bird bath........I wondered how they could look so different from the last time I saw them.......then I remembered that they had their breeding feathers the last time they were visiting my home. Birds and nature is so fascinating, as well as being so much fun to watch. 
The older I get, the more I appreciate the finer things in life......no, not diamonds and gold.....birds and bees!!  :-))  My life is very rich with those finer things.
