Solution

Full day of DIY today.  I spent nearly the entire day painting the kitchen walls and ceiling, plus a couple of other bits and pieces.  We had to move the fridge freezer so I could paint around/behind it, and it's in such a tight spot, Tim had to saw a bit of the worktop off to get it back out.  Funny that, because that's how we got it in in the first place!

Tim also did lots of painting, filling, and sandpapering today, and went out to gather extra supplies (paint, plaster, etc, etc).  We'd thoroughly knackered ourselves out by this evening, so I knocked up a quick dinner and we had a beer or two in front of the TV :)
