Lace day

Today was our lace day, suppliers, raffle, tea/coffee and time to make lace. Our speaker was Marion Maule, a member of the Fan Society and she brought along a few of her fans from her collection. She was very good, amusing, knowledgeable and kept the audience engaged for the hour. She regaled us with stories of how she acquired her fans, and the history of fans.

Finished a bit early to go up and visit of-in-law. He has moved to another ward (respiratory), a little grumpy and muddled at times, he is on a reduced fluid intake but he's not drinking anywhere near enough. Not eating enough either. He us having regular nebulisers as he is still very short of breath. He was happy that we took up a small iced fruit cake (the ch****mas cakes are in the shops!).
