Dew

Ms Green Anole was enjoying a bit Dew still on the Coontie leaves this morning. She appears to be getting a bit thin, but maybe that's just my imagination. I have a debate going on in my head (and my heart). Since her supply of insects is slowly dwindling as Fall approaches, should I offer her some raw hamburger or chicken? I usually refrain from playing goddess to the wild ones in the yard. My neighbor once fed raw hamburger to a large spider he had bonded with. He succeeded in keeping her alive for maybe a couple of weeks longer than she would have survived on her own...but to what end? Ms Green Anole and I have a bit of a herstory, the two of us...so I just don't know.
