Empty Nest!

Sadly many of our summer-visitor birds have left for
warmer climes....They left silently/secretly and suddenly
[to me] My backyard gardens are quiet.  I do see chickadees,
cardinals and the occasional blue jay, but not much more.
In the next six weeks after the first signs of snow and
bad weather, the juncos will arrive from the north.  I
will be happy to see them and am charmed to think that
this is their winter habitat.
