The Art of Folding!
Whenever a recipe directs me to "fold" an ingredient, I always hold my breath. Never knowing if it will turn out. I guess I am not a great baker! Today Moira and I baked cupcakes for her other Grandma and my hubby for their birthdays. I picked a simple white cake recipe from the Martha Stewart Cupcake Cookbook. Nothing is quite simple with a Martha recipe. This one called for 5 egg whites to be beaten in stiff peaks and to be gently folded into the batter. Moira was game to try it even though she had no idea what folding was. Once again I held my breath! Moira and I were successful. The cupcakes were delicious. The frosting is another whole story:)
