Glacier NP Montana
Today we hopped in the car and headed off for Glacier National Park, we decided we would follow the 'Going to the sun' road as we had heard many good things about it. We were not disappointed. What a fantastic road and what a fantastic park. The day had started off grey and overcast, there had been a little rain overnight and this was translated into a light dusting of snow on the very high peaks, the mists burnt off further down and we had a bright day, although a trifle chilly! The road went up to a pass at 6,600 feet but alas we were wreathed in mist and no view was to be seen from this lookout point.
A good road, we came out on the eastern side of the park and drove back down that side to make a loop. An added bonus was the autumnal colours, yellow leaves, almost translucent in the sun, made for extra stunning views.
