The Táin

The Táin is an epic 1st century AD legendary tale from early Irish literature, commonly known as The Cattle Raid of Cooley.
This image is from a series of prints by Louis le Brocquy.  Extra image is of the hero Cú Chulainn who confronts and kills his friend Ferdia.  I think it has a Minoan look to it. (On show in the Oriel Gallery, Antrim)
