Fall

Today was the first day of Autumn, but no golden leaves have been falling here. Exactly a year ago we suffered devastating floods. 

We have American guests at the cottage at the moment and they had been in town yesterday speaking with locals. We all knew that rain was forecast for today and the townsfolk were anxious. The Americans empathised, they understand that in reality specific dates are not jinxed, but just as they tend to be edgy on 11th September so the Skopeliti have become about the 22nd.

Rain fell, it caused no damage.
