Violet.....

.....enjoying the one and only flower on my Pulsatilla vuglaris but it looks as though more are to come, this one is Violet Bells.

A day of sorting, going through cupboards and spring cleaning. My eyes were tired and sore after yesterday's all day stint on the computer, it was good to rest them.

The air was cool in the garden today, conditions mainly overcast but reasonably dry under foot. Delighted to see one out of six hosta's from last years plants is up and hoping the others surface soon along with this years plants.

Cheeky starlings have found a hole in our veranda roof, it's like a highway as they gather twigs, leaves and kowhai seeds for nesting material, I think more than one nest is being built. The noise from all the squabbles for entering and departing from the hole is most annoying along with the thumping in the eaves, hubby will sort them out this weekend.
