Up, up and away

Today, after months and months of research and planning we finally took to the sky in our 8.5 hour flight to Vancouver (the flight ended up arriving to its destination half an hour early.) Overall, it was pretty easy going - slept a little, watched Marley and Me (terrible idea, there were tears), read my kindle and listened to some music. We had a few snacks and briefly spoke to the couple in front of us who had previously lived in Shetland for three years. Neither of us could quite believe it when it came time to land, but we were glad we had made it in one piece. Border control and actually activating our visas was nice and simple, and just like that we were on our way, able to live and work in Canada for two years!
