The door to the Fly Tower

You rarely see this sort of sight. In fact I bet you rarely look at the outside of a theatre and wonder how it all working inside.

The tall thin door allows the scenic painters to deliver painted backgrounds.

As crazy as it sounds, the Fly Tower is over twice the height of the theatre so that backgrounds can be lifted and dropped into place without distortion. You can see the counter weights inside.
