Day 265 of 366 - Nonconformist Chapel Ruins!

Today's image was taken this afternoon at the London Road Cemetery in Coventry. The view is of the partial ruins of the Nonconformist Chapel. This is a Grade II* listed Chapel that is styled like a classical Temple. This type of style for a chapel was ideal for Nonconformists as a place of worship as they preferred this to a traditional style. The chapel was built in 1847 by John Taylor. Unfortunately over the years there has been a tremendous amount of damage to the chapel, including a fire. It currently lies abandoned as a place of worship due to safety issues inside.

The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then decreased the Highlights and shadows a little and boosted the Saturation, Warmth and Ambiance. Next I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Simple S2 painterly preset. I also changed the canvas texture type to Hard Grain. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tuneup preset, the Vibrant FX and the Small Dark Vignette. I then applied the Stucco texture and the Leather frame.
