It is Not always an Easy Life
A young boy polished his fruits and veg, arranging them beautifully on his cart, hoping to sell them, already at 7am. He is one of the lucky ones. A job and self respect is his, but there are so many people in the towns and cities, just begging for a living. My heart goes out to them.
Kathodam Station was easy, settling into the train, no problem. Getting off the train at Delhi with porters scrambling on and grabbing our bags, was not easy. Getting into the bus for 10, with 14 trekkers and their bags, was not easy, and required us to be dropped 2 blocks from the hotel. Crossing the road, laden with bags, with honking horns from the 5 lanes of traffic, was definitely not easy. Having a wonderful shower then FaceTime chat with David was so easy at the hotel. Finally, saying goodbye to my fellow trekkers after 20 days of up and down, stressful and funny moments, always finding the best solutions to our diverse needs, was definitely not easy. Thank you Maria.
