North by Nature?

Planted by North 9th Earl of Stair on the marriage day of the Prince and Princess of Wales
10th March 1863

This is tree is in an avenue of trees in the Oxenfoord Estate, my current Wednesday singing lesson activity. It is quite an impressive avenue.

The plaque was a bit confusing until I found out North was his name. The Prince of Wales was Queen Victoria's son who became King in 1901. North died the next year after planting this tree from a sore back.

Enough facts, I think so.
