Oil Painting

It was a slow start to the day at Waddesdon but then things picked up and, once the visitors started really streaming through, time whizzed past.  One of the rooms I was in is the Portico Bedroom which is one of the rooms to be open only when we have the luxury of a full complement of volunteers. It is a lovely room and Winston Churchill always slept in here when he visited.  Light levels are, of course, low and I needed a slow shutter speed to get anywhere near enough lumens in through the lens. As the image would not be sharp anyway, I actually walked forward with the camera to deliberately blur and have added an oil painting effect with Photoshop filters. Interesting.

I did take this image in the boring time when everything was really quiet - I would not do this with visitors in the room.
