Stormy Skies
It had looked like it would storm about mid afternoon but that never turned into anything and then later in the evening the gathering clouds across the bay threw the mother of all lightning storms. There were flashes going off every 2 or 3 seconds at one point and they lit up the clouds in spectacular fashion.
In the space of about half an hour I took nearly 200 pictures and about 5 minutes of video footage. However only about 10 of my shots had any kind of lightning in and this was one of only 2 that was vaguely in focus.
The amount of power being discharged and transferred in that small amount of time must have been enormous. Sometimes nature has to remind us how awesomely powerful it really is.
