Suddenly, Autumn
Yesterday we sat outside chatting to a friend and drinking coffee, no sweaters or fleeces required. It was late summer.
Today, with only a slight drop in temperature, and still some thin sunshine, it is beyond doubt Autumn; time to visit the sawmill for some bags of logs, noticing the whirl of falling leaves as we drive through cathedrals of trees changing to gold.
I would love autumn, except that it heralds winter, which I hate with a passion.
