A hundred yards up the road is a blacksmiths that has been there for about a hundred years and in the same family for ninety.
I've often thought about nipping in for a nosy but never got around to it until last week when I went and asked the owner if I could take a bit of the scrap wood that had been dumped in front of his premises.
The proprietor, Den, is 83 and still working along with his 60 year old son. He's an interesting bloke and we had quite a good natter.
He said I could go and take photos there. I fancy doing a Blurb book for him. I think he might like it.
