Peephole

The Ante-Room is one of my favourite rooms in Manchester Town Hall. It is in the Extension, devoid of the gothic found elsewhere, in fact quite austere.

There is a door on one side. It is entirely covered in thick cushioned leather, pinned with a covering of metal studs.

And in the upper middle of the door face the smallest of windows, through which the Council Chamber can be glimpsed.
