As A very Royal Personage was reported saying some time ago...I was NOT impressed. The Boss had breakfast, made lunch, packed his pack, grabbed his camera and as I waited with baited breath...( not sure about the baited bit, actually my breath was pretty good having just had grub myself) he went into the Garage, got into Suzz and LEFT without me. The Bossess had to calm me down and explained that he was going to The Snow Farm with acyclinggranny and they did not allow dogs 'Cos their paw prints mucked up the professional runs. Well I guess I would not like to do that given all the various Nations up there practising so I grumped and guarded the Bossess's office door instead.
Meanwhile up the Pisa range where the Snow Farm is The Boss was experiencing Snow Shoes for the very first time and was having heaps of fun (without Me) and snow shoeing his way to a hut some 5 kms down the tracks...Followed by 5 kms up the track after lunch and is now finding muscles he didn't know he had and images he had only dreamed about.
It is very bright in the snow and dark glasses are an essential. The Boss had these Photochromatic jobs (his real glasses) that go really black when required and give the wearer a pretty unique view of things and he wanted to replicate that feeling for Blip so here it is. Acyclinggranny has some shots of The Boss but was bribed by hot chocolate to adhere to a no blip agreement, so sorry you don't get to see him staggering about on tennis rackets...Yet.

Of course the sun hits the snow and this effect is delightful when everything is in the right place. And you are right it's not very deep.
