Sometimes slugs and beetles can be seen on strawberry plants, or so I have discovered in my backyard!
A good book , The Food Doctor, by Vicki Edgson and Ian Marber, tells us how strawberries have the benefits of being anti-cancer, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial.
Among other nutrients strawberries contain Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and folic acid.
These strawberries are from Staffordshire and are perfectly good.
I love them for their colourful appearance, taste and association with summertime.
