Leaping Salmon

A very routine day with a trip to the amenity tip and the charity shop this morning (careful to put the right bags in the right place!).. We then had a stroll along the River Ericht in Blairgowrie, where I noticed they had put back this sculpture of leaping salmon.  It had been absent for several months while work was done on repairing the river bank after last year's flooding.  An attractive new section of path has also been installed, but seems to be lacking a few benches:-)

After lunch in town, we came home to continue the chores.  TJ washed the cars while I tackled the new curtains for the bathroom.  I cheated and didn't use the sewing machine at all when I realised they only needed turning up the depth of the hem.  Wonderful stuff that iron-on hemming tape:-)  So they are up now and we are slowly getting used to the complete change of colour after such a long time with the original curtains.

Foreign currency ordered for a trip next month - we're going to the dogs is all I'll say at the moment:-)
