Moors Valley
We made a pilgrimage today to Moors Valley Country Park in Dorset. We visit a particular woodland at the far end of the park, and we haven't been able to go there for the past few years because of my hip surgery. Today we were fit and were pleased to be there again. The three mile walk took us past Crane Lakes, in my main photo. Moors Valley has a stream running through it, extra no 1. Our woodland is approached across a meadow, very wet after the rain. The saplings we planted 23 years ago are now real trees forming a dense patch of woodland, so rewarding. Right in the middle is a huge boulder, placed there by Anna's friends J and Clare. It tends to get a bit overgrown. The logo of the park is a dragonfly and another extra shows a lovely dragonfly made completely of recycled materials. It was a dull day, not good for photographs, but it didn't rain.
We have had a good day, and won't leave it so long before we go again.
