The Boys From Brazil

Me and MrsB enjoyed a belated birthday drink with Tracey and her husband Kevin last night in the Freemasons Arms in Knutsford. The surroundings were in complete contrast to yesterday in the Crown, with it's overly themed decor and sparkly Impala head-light on the wall.

It seems that Kevin also has three Olympic football final tickets for Saturday. Only problem is he doesn't have enough tickets for him and his three boys, meaning he was planning to sit outside whilst his sons experienced the game, and Tracey shopped with her parents in-law.

Told Kevin I would talk to Martin about our own two tickets, and if we decided we preferred to work on the boat in Bristol, he could have them both cost price for him and his dad (hey, my generosity has limits!)

Postscript: Friday morning writing this, and it seems that whilst Martin had already dug out his 1970's Brazil shirt to wear final day (complete with printed picture of his hero Jairzinho), he also likes the idea of an extra day working on the boat - particularly as he is way behind on programme. I am totally happy either way, so the call is now down to Kevin and what he wants to do. Watch this space....but we could be knocked out in the semi finals today on penalties...

.....Friday afternoon further update, and the tickets turned down so it seems we're going after all! No guesses where tomorrow's blip will be from :-)
