It worked!

P gave us these old feeders in July and they have been successful. I’ve been able to grow things that wouldn’t have survived in the soilless front garden.
 
Some plants are perennials and will survive the winter, but the other annuals will have to be replaced next spring.
    
Visit to the gym this morning, a good workout, which means that I’m now shattered.
