Rythmic Gymnastics

And here we have odeyrandom, representing Team Lancashire in the hoops round of the rhythmic gymnastics final.

Her form's been pretty good recently and she'll score high on the difficulty rating for this one by choosing to perform her routine in wellies, rather than barefoot and by using not one, but two hoops.

She *will* be marked down though by having forgotten to bring her sparkly leotard, which is a shame.

I caught a bit of the rhythmic gymnastics with my lunch yesterday and was amazed at the grace, skill, fluidity and energy displayed by the competitors. I dread to think how long it takes to make it look so natural.

I do wonder though if an activity (even one as impressive as this) can be classed a sport if it's got to be done wearing full make-up and sequins....

- yes, they are my own wellies
- yes, they were in the office and have been since winter
- yes, we really do have hula hoops in the office. 4 to be precise.
