Pier walk, St Andrews
Sunday. Went for a drive to St Andrews. We walked through the town, past the cathedral to the harbour. There were lots of students walking to and from the harbour in their red gowns - apparently this is an old tradition to commemorate the heroism of a student who rescued five men from a sinking ship in the 1800s.
We walked back past the castle and then on to the beach and finally back past the golf course to town again. Had a pub lunch then returned home via the East Neuk of Fife.
