Charleston, East Sussex.

Out on a walk today between Firle and Charleston on a circular route. This is one of the homes of the Bloomsbury set.  Well worth a visit, you need to allow at least 2 hours and, if possible, join one of the tours.

I don't find the signs to public footpaths very good in this area. They are either not there at all, or don't tell you where they're pointing to, or have been defaced. I missed one turn which went up someone's driveway and through a hidden gate, no sign of course.
