Bye bye Daddy

Rather a bittersweet blip!
Our son Tom has been promoted to Major! Some years ahead of schedule and we are very proud of him.
Along with the promotion comes a new posting to Kabul!
He will be helping to oversee our remaining troops and no doubt buzzing about here and there.
He has had to leave little George, and Sophie, and will not be home for some months but at least we have the Internet and FaceTime to keep in touch and he will be able to talk to George every day.
We don't hear much about the situation out there now, which possibly means it is not too exciting, I hope!
We are going to send a parcel of goodies and posters to help make things a little more homely, and the time will whizz by.
