Runny Graffiti

It started raining this afternoon, and I walked home from the office through a steady drizzle. This is on St. Catherine St W., Montreal's busiest and most popular street for shopping and entertainment.

Someone chose the wrong kind of paint for their impromptu wall art...

Looking at this picture makes me realise how run-down the downtown core of Montreal is. Should I stop wanting my city to be even half as nice as your average European town? Or should I just give up and embrace urban decay?
