In memorium

I was glad to be able to come away from Somerset after just a week so that I could make it to the funeral today of a really special woman.
I succeeded Kath in my job in the CAB in the mid 1980s and without her nudge I would never never have had the confidence to apply. She was also right behind me when I left to do my law degree. She was a warm and calm presence in a hugely pressurised environment and always had a practical and encouraging word for everyone. Thousands of clients benefitted from the work she did.
Needless to say there were lots of my former colleagues there, all feeling the loss but also all feeling very glad to have had her in our lives.
A good life well lived.
